“It’s Morality, Stupid!”. What really bothers and disgusts me is that it appears as if his favorite athletic endeavor was to whore around on his wife. It appears as if Woods, Elin and their two little children had everything. Unbeknownst to the innocents in that household, Woods went out golfing and looking for a good time with another woman, only to leave the 3 people who trusted and loved him the most behind in a safe home, but not in a safe place in their lives.
Many people would believe he had it made. So why in the heck would he cheat on the woman he loved, the mother of his children and demonstrate to his fans that he is nothing more than a low life, offensive human being? People tell me it is a personal matter and he is only human. Oh, really? Many humans do not bring such shame to their home and many more understand what love means and do not cheat on their spouses. What makes the human race different from the animal race is staying committed emotionally and physically in a relationship. Basically, keeping your promise and honor.
Instead Woods is demonstrating to young people by his actions that marital vows and promises are all lies on the pulpit during the matrimony. Woods is telling everyone that vows to honor your marriage and devotion are not etched in stone and you can break it anytime you see something better on the other side of the fence. I know plenty of married coupled who do not cheat and even disgustingly laugh at Woods’ problems. Woods should have no problem with this since he couldn’t care less if his family stays together or not, and he certainly has no qualms about putting his beautiful wife and his family in possible danger by bringing home a disease that could possibly kill.
I truly believe a cheater have no quality of character and the reason they are most upset is when they are caught and they are angry at everyone else for not keeping their secret. Then they yell ‘it is all about privacy’. Just because you have a lot of money does not mean you are a God. Just remember that in your old age, when you look back just before you meet your maker.
I’ve also heard the blame gamers trying to put the blame squarely upon the gold diggers who have slept with Tiger and cried foul when these women cashed in on their newfound fame. I, for one, do not. The blame is to fit squarely on the shoulders of Tiger. Anyone who would cheat with a cheater does not have the best character and they can never be trusted, plain and simple. They lack integrity, honor, and respect for themselves and certainly have no regard for Tiger nor his family. Therefore, Tiger should not be surprised by his twits when they cash in on offers for cell phone messages, going on talkshows to give details, signing book deals and, I wouldn’t be surprised, a few pictures here and there.
On a final note, those who believe Elin should put her pride aside for the children, I whole heartedly disagree. This even comes after the recently released text messages from Tiger to his mistress that he gets more from cheating with this woman than from his own wife. He wished they had met before he met his wife. Say What, you Fool! Tiger can never be trusted again, he is damaged goods and staying would tell their daughter and son that it is okay for husbands to cheat and berate your wife to anyone who will listen. It teaches the rest of us if we decide to marry we need to add a cheating clause to the prenuptial. Basically, we can no longer trust the person we love and who, supposedly, loves us. My advice: RUN Elin and take your two little bundle of joys with you. Leave Woods on the golf club course he loves so much so he can send you support checks. Do not look back, do not waste your time thinking about revenge, or what you could have done to keep him from cheating. You could never have stopped him from cheating and revenge is a great waste of your time and energy. Revenge has a way of happening by itself when the cheater least expects it. So take the high road, please.
Can Elin forgive? Sure she can. Can Elin forget? Probably not and finding someone who really loves her with quality and character would be the best thing for her. Home is where you should feel the safest and she should find that special person where she can truly be loved. Everyone deserves that.
My final note is that I will not purchase one thing Tiger tries to sell. Nothing, no Gatorade, nothing! I can do without it. Consequences are a bit**.
