Everyone needs to be vested in their own health care and be responsible enough to pay for it. Below is a simple list of what our lawmakers (people who work for us) could do in order to help Americans obtain and keep their health care insurance, as well as lower the costs.
- Kick all illegals out of the United States and shore up our borders immediately
- Mandate every citizen purchase insurance
- Allow competition across state lines to increase competition
- Subsidize health care premium for low income people
- Subsidize health insurance companies to guarantee they cover everyone with preexisting conditions
- Citizens carry their health insurance with them from job to job
- Insurance companies should be able to charge a premium for people who are morbidly obese, smoke, drink, use drugs or live a sedatary lifestyle. Afterall, these are the ones who will need more care as they age because of diabetes, liver problems and should not be a tax burden on the rest of Americans who do what they can to stay healthy.
This is so simple, I am beginning to wonder why we need lawmakers.
